iTEPスピーキングのテスト内容と、各パートの問題例と解答例を紹介させていただきます。
iTEPスピーキングセクションの内容
- iTEPとは、「International Test of English Proficiency」の略称です。
- 英語でのコミュニケーション能力を測定するために開発されました。
- iTEPは、0から6までの6段階のレベルに分かれており、6が「Advanced」レベルとなっています。
- スピーキングセクションは、Part1とPart2の2つのパートに分かれています。
- スピーキングセクションのスコアは、総合的な能力／流暢さ、文法、語彙、文化的／様式的適切性、発音に基づいて採点されます。
- スピーキングセクションは、ウォームアップから始まります。これらの問題はスクリーンには表示されません。
パート1の内容と問題例、解答例
- インストラクション 短い質問が出題されます。質問に対して、あなたの答えを裏付ける具体的な理由や例を挙げて答えてください。質問を聞いた後、30秒間で答えを準備し、45秒間で発言してください。
- 問題例
Think of one person who made a big impact on your life. Who is that person and what would you like to thank him/her for?
- 解答例
"The person who made a big impact on my life is my husband. He helped me when I was doing my master's degree in the university. He accompanied me to the library and motivated me to study and not give up in my reviews. I am grateful for his support.”
パート2の内容と問題例、解答例
- インストラクション あるトピックに関する短い文章を聞いてください。次に、そのトピックについて自分の考えを、具体的な理由や例を挙げて述べてください。
- トピックに関する文章は読み上げられるだけで、スクリーンには表示されません (一部表示されます) 。トピック・ステートメントを聞いた後、45秒間で準備し、60秒間で発言します。メモを取ることもできます。
- 問題例
Social media provides quick access to information. Many people use it to connect with others. It is also used as a platform to express one’s thoughts and is a great marketing tool for business. However, it has increased people’s usage and has become addicting for some. In addition, it has been used to proliferate fake news. Given these, do the benefits of using social media outweigh its risks, or is it the other way around?
- 解答例
"I believe the benefits of social media outweigh its risks. I have two reasons. First, social media has been used to provide information. Sites like Facebook and Twitter have been helpful in providing updated Covid19 information. Second, these sites have also allowed people to connect/reconnect with other people. There were news about people who just met online during the pandemic and have began their relationship through it. Even if social media presents risks, as long as the users are responsible, the benefits still outweigh the risks."
